Customs intercepts suspect with 2,886 ATM cards and 4 SIM cards

SUNRISE NEWS, Lagos, Sept 11, 2020 The Nigeria Customs Service, Muritala Muhammed International Airport Command, on 22nd of August 2020, caught a suspect (Ishaq Abubakar), at the departure hall gate ‘B’.

This was disclosed in a press conference of the Federal Operation Unit Zone ‘A’ ikeja of the Nigeria Customs Service.

The Suspect with passport Number A08333717, was traveling from Kano State to Dubai, via Emirates flight and was intercepted by officers on duty for unlawful possession of 2,886 ATM cards and 4 SIM cards.

While addressing the press, Deputy Comptroller Abdul Mumin Bako, said, the ATM Cards were carefully concealed in a noodles carton by the suspect.

DC Bako who is in charge of F.O.U Ikeja “A”, said the suspect claimed that one Mr. Musliu was assigned to him to facilitate his movement through the checks at the airport by one Mr. Suleiman, but due to the diligence of our Officers who insisted on conducting physical examination revealed the concealment.

He assured that the suspect and the ATM cards will be transfered to the EFCC for further and proper investigation.
