Former Inter striker, Diego Milito, has urged Chelsea striker, Romelu Lukaku, not to promise what he can’t deliver.
Milito said this ahead of Inter Milan’s Champions League clash with Real Madrid on Wednesday night.
Lukaku returned to Chelsea in the summer but Milito was not impressed, insisting that Inter Milan fans are disappointed in the 28-year-old’s loyalty before joining the English Premier League, EPL, giants.
“As for Lukaku, there is one thing you should never do: promise what you can’t deliver,” Milito told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“It’s normal for a player to leave and go somewhere else, but the fans are disappointed with his declarations of loyalty before joining Chelsea.”
“I was close to Real Madrid and PSG, but Inter was a life choice for me,” Milito added.
“I was at the top, I was happy, I was at San Siro that will always be home.”
Milito played two seasons under Jose Mourinho, winning two Serie A titles in the treble.
