The ECOWAS Commission will receive information technology equipment, furniture and training materials from GIZ. The equipment and materials were donated for use by the ECOWAS Staff Training Centre, Asokoro, Abuja. The handover ceremony of the items will hold on the 4th March 2022 at the ECOWAS Headquarters.
The event which is billed to start by 11:00am will features remarks from several dignitaries including the Human Resources Commissioner, ECOWAS Commission, the Head of Cooperation, Delegation of the European Commission to Nigeria and ECOWAS, the Head of Cooperation, German Embassy in Nigeria and G2 Cluster Coordinator for ECOWAS, the Representative of EBIP and the Project Manager of the ISE.
Thereafter, the unveiling of the IT equipments and subsequent handover to ECOWAS Training Centre will take place. Another important aspect of the ceremony is the graduation of internal trainers. The event is expected to close by 1:20pm.
