The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has quizzed former Governor of Bayelsa State, Seriake Dickson over alleged fraud while in office.
EFCC‘s spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren who confirmed this today, said Dickson was invited by the commission for questioning on Tuesday.
He, however, said he would not give details and reasons he was quizzed.
But it was gathered that the former Bayelsa governor went to the EFCC’s office in Abuja himself upon his invitation to answer some questions regarding allegations of fraud during his administration as governor of Bayelsa.
The former governor arrived the EFCC’s office around 11.00am to face the commission’s detectives waiting to grill him.
Dickson was governor of Bayelsa State between 14 February 2012 to 14 February 2020.
He officially handed over to Douye Diri as the Governor of Bayelsa State after the Supreme Court nullified the election of David Lyon of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as governor of Bayelsa.
