Elections will not hold in 240 Polling Units in Nigeria – INEC [See Full List Here]

The National Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Prof. Mahmud Yakubu has said general elections would not hold in no fewer than 240 polling units across the country.

The INEC Chief who disclosed this at a meeting with leaders of all Political Parties contesting the general elections in the country said no elections would take place in any of these polling units, spread across the country.

According to him, at these units no one either came out to register or transferred their wards there, neither are there any political activity in any of the units.

He however expressed the readiness of the electoral umpire to conduct the freest and fairest election come Fenruary 25 and March 11, even as he assured that INEC is not contemplating shifting either the Presidential/National Assembly or the Governorship/Houses of Assembly elections.

Here is the list of the 240 Polling Units across the country with no registered voters and where voting will not take place on 25th February (Presidential/National Assembly Election) and 11th March 2023 (Governorship/State House of Assembly Election).
