Engineer Rotimi Jelili Raji, the CEO of Rotech Fabrication Company Limited, has steadily carved a niche for his company in the Nigerian manufacturing sector. With over 25 years of experience in machine fabrication, his company, located at 1 Gas Line Road, Akindo Area, Ogun State, has become a go-to for industries seeking both locally and internationally made, durable machines.
In an exclusive interview, Engineer Raji spoke about the wide range of products his company manufactures, including block machines, ovens, overhead tanks, stainless steel vessels, and various industrial equipment. “We specialize in producing block machines that create molds of varying sizes – 9, 6, and 4.5. These machines have been made for companies locally and internationally, including South Africa,” Raji stated. “We offer manual and electronic versions of these machines, customized to client specifications.”
One of Rotech’s key innovations is the twin tractor grinder, which is designed to grind chemicals into paste for the production of gloss paint. This unique machine is essential for the paint industry, where precision and consistency are required. Raji added, “We have built grinders for numerous companies, and they have proven to be efficient and durable in performance.”
In addition to block machines and grinders, Rotech Fabrication has been a major player in producing ovens for companies such as Balelayo Bread in Akute and others in Eastern Nigeria. “Our ovens come in different sizes, capable of producing from half a bag to two bags of flour in one go,” Raji explained, also highlighting the milling machine his company manufactures, which is used to mill flour for bread production.
Raji’s innovation doesn’t stop there. His company also manufactures overhead tanks and has provided these for several industries, including ‘Nice Paint’ in Jos. For the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries, Rotech constructs stainless steel vessels, such as the stainless tank mixer (500 liters), which is used to mix pharmaceutical products. “We design stainless steel vessels that can be used in a variety of industries, from cosmetics to pharmaceuticals. The vessels are made in various capacities to suit different needs, whether it’s for mixing relaxers or processing drugs,” he said.
The company also builds specialized equipment like the twin hydraulic paint mixer, which is crucial for mixing both gloss and texcote paints. Rotech’s versatile crusher, designed to grind feeds like corn, beans, and cassava into powder, has been widely adopted by companies in the agricultural sector.
Beyond product manufacturing, Rotech also provides maintenance services to several large companies, including Coca-Cola Nigeria. “We’ve worked on welding pipelines and maintaining machines in places like Jos and Kaduna,” Raji added.
