Everton manager, Frank Lampard, has insisted his team should have gotten a penalty against Liverpool on Sunday.
The Toffees came into the game at Anfield in relegation places, after Burnley beat Wolves 1-0 earlier in the day.
Although the Reds went on to win 2-0 with two second-half goals, the story would have been different if the visitors were awarded a penalty when Anthony Gordon went down under a challenge from Joel Matip with the score at 0-0.
However, Stuart Attwell, who had already booked Gordon for a dive, waved play on.
“It was a penalty. I don’t think you get them here. I think if that is Mo Salah at the other end, he gets the penalty.
“I am not trying to create conflict there, I just think it is the reality of football sometimes,” Lampard said.
