Manchester United goalkeeper, Andre Onana, is set for showdown talks with manager Erik ten Hag, over his decision to return to international duty with Cameroon.
Onana announced his retirement after falling out with Indomitable Lions coach Rigobert Song at the 2022 World Cup.
It led to the 27-year-old flying home from Qatar.
But Onana ended his exile this month and kept a clean sheet in a 3-0 win over Burundi on Tuesday, to secure qualification for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations.
According to The Mirror, Onana never brought up the possibility of ending his international retirement during transfer talks and even told Ten Hag he had no intention of returning.
Ten Hag will now hold showdown talks with the former Inter Milan man to ascertain whether he plans to represent Cameroon at the African Cup of Nations, or whether his outing was simply a one off.
