EPL: We made money from Man Utd – Inter Milan speaks on Onana deal

Onana

Inter Milan CEO Giuseppe Marotta has spoken about the deal that saw Andre Onana move to Manchester United in the summer.

Marotta also refused to rule out the chance of re-signing the Cameroon goalkeeper from the Premier League side.

Just one season after Onana arrived as a free agent from Ajax, the Italian side sold him for a base price of €51 million (£43.8 million).

While Inter have gotten Yan Sommer as his replacement, Marotta has hinted that they could consider re-signing the goalkeeper in the future.

Speaking to reporters, he said, “I can’t predict the future, but in football, anything can happen.

“For sure, it was a great chapter for Onana and for us. It was also a successful deal to sign him for free and sell for that money.”

Since joining the Red Devils in the summer, Onana has conceded 19 goals in 11 matches, with the team languishing in 10th position on the league table.
