Jack Wilshere has said he will speak with Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, after being invited to train with the first-team squad at his former club.
The 29-year-old is a free agent after he was released from Bournemouth at the end of last season.
Last week, Arteta invited Wilshere to return to the club.
“To hear him come out and say the door is always open is nice.
“I think that it can only help me. As you said, being around good players, training with world-class players and, as well, just being in a team environment is something that I am interested in.
“I am sure that I will have a conversation with someone at the club over the next couple of days,” Wilshere told Sky Sports News.
Arteta and Wilshere were regular midfield partners at the Emirates and both lifted the FA Cup in 2014 and 2015.
