Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has described their 2-1 defeat at Fulham as their worst game of this Premier League season.
The Gunners were looking to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat to West Ham at home and Bukayo Saka gave them the lead in the fifth minute.
But goals from Raul Jiménez and Bobby De Cordova-Reid turned the tide and gave the hosts all three points.
The result means Arteta’s men go into the New Year in fourth place.
“Today was our worst game of the season. We were sloppy with the ball. It wasn’t good enough. We didn’t deserve to win. When you have opportunities to go top of the league on 31 December and now end up with a really bad feeling, that is football,” Arteta told BBC.
