Esther Ajayi, CAN leaders storm third Olusegun Obasanjo’s annual thanksgiving service in Abeokuta

The annual thanksgiving service of former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, holds on January 2 every year in Abeokuta, Ogun state.


This year’s edition, is the 3rd in the series of the event organised by Ogun state chapter of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN.


Elated Chief Obasanjo, while delivering his remark at the event, offered special songs of thanksgiving to God in appreciation of His love towards him.


 “This is a service of thanksgiving. We can never thank God enough, so I will still use this moment to specially thank God for all He has done in my life. I don’t know how many of you know Ibogun Olaogun in Ifo. Now imagine that me born in that village, grew to become a global figure. My thanksgiving to God can never be too much,” he said.


Special prayers were offered to God for the family of Chief Obasanjo, who also is saddled with the assignment by African Union, AU, to promote peace in the horn of Africa region.


The event was attended by a galazy of royal fathers, leaders of CAN, ministers of the gospel from several denominations, Rev. Mother Abimbola Esther Ajayi, who has always attended the event since inception, among other guests.
