Prolific singer, Esther Benyeogo popularly called Esther, has won season 3 of the musical talents reality series, The Voice Nigeria.
Esther Benyeogo who has been outstanding with her powerful vocal deliveries back to back will be going home with the grand prize of N10million, a new car and an international record deal.
Her coach, Darey, a first time coach on the show is also automatically the winning coach.
The 23 year old Delta-State indigene had stormed the show with her powerful performance of Andra Day’s Rise Up getting three of the four highly sought after celebrity coaches to turn for her before she finally settled for Darey, a highly experienced performer as coach.
25 vocalists started the show three months ago after scaling the auditions stage in the highly competitive series.
Celebrity coaches including Darey, Yemi Alade, Waje and Falz double as the four judges on the show but the viewers votes ultimately decided the winner.
Powerful singers, Naomi Mac, Dapo, Kitay, Kpee and Eazzie all made the last six with Esther Benyeogo before her final emergence through a world-class voting process monitored and endorsed by KPMG.
Making the last six contests, Kitay was in Team Yemi-Alade, Dapo and Naomi Mac in Team Falz, Eazzie in Waje Team with Esther and Kpee in Team Darey.
For over three months, with an electrifying mix of pulsating musical performances, music training, glamorous fashion and awesome entertainment, The Voice Nigeria 3 had dazzled to the very grand finale.
UN1TY Limited and Livespot360 had produced the global talents reality series which was sponsored by FirstBank, Baba Ijebu and Airtel.
Scores of vocalists have performed on the highly competitive musical TV reality series but dropped out going through the Auditions, Blinds, Knockouts, Battles and Live Show stages.
Waje, who has been part of the show since its inception, won the inaugural season as coach.
Apart from the A-list versatile singers who served as celebrity coaches and judges, Nancy Isime and Toke Makinwa, co-hosts of the show added great colour to the third season.
The first season of The Voice Nigeria was broadcast on Africa Magic from April 10 to July 31, 2016.
Agharese Emokpae popularly known as A’rese, a 28-year-old stage actress, won the first season while Daniel Diongoli, professionally known as Idyl, won season 2.
