First City Monument Bank (FCMB), has announced the appointment of Mrs Yemisi Edun as the Acting Managing Director.
Her appointment follows the voluntary ‘stepping aside’ of Nuru Adam, who has been embroiled in an adultery and paternity scandal since January 1, over the paternity of two children by a woman and former staff of the bank, Moyo, and her late husband Tunde Gentle Thomas.
A group championing justice for the late Thomas, had petitioned the Central Bank of Nigeria to impress it on the FCMB to investigate its erstwhile Managing Director over the alleged scandal.
Bowing to pressure on Wednesday, the bank announced the appointment of Mrs Yemisi Edun, who takes over from Nuru, who stepped aside, as he is being investigated over the allegations.
