Fertigold, a Lagos State based fertility centre, has celebrated the birth of its first set of quadruplets.
Though the facility did not reveal the identity of the lucky mother, it declared that both mother and the babies are in stable and excellent condition.
Breaking the news of the development, which he descibed as a major breakthrough for the centre, located in Ifako-Ijaiye, in sub-urban Lagos, the Chief Medical Director of AB10 Specialist Hospital, Dr Olukunle Akinoso, who owns the facility described the development as “amazing.”
Akinoso, who broke the news on his verified Facebook Timeline Page, said Fertigold had transferred three viable embryos to the mother.
“One of the embryos split into two which totalled four babies. All four live babies are successfully delivered and are doing fine,” he said.
Akinoso, who had a very flourishing medical practice had studied Medicine and Surgery at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State and had been in private practice for over three decades.
Fertigold established over half a decade ago, has been providing specialised invitro fertility services for couples having some challenges in child bearing.
