Nigeria’s Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning Mrs Zainab Ahmed on Friday addressed critical stakeholders on the breakdown of the N16.3 trillion budget presented to the National Assembly yesterday by President Muhammadu Buhari.
She assured Nigerians that the debt to revenue ratio remains favorable. Addressing critical stakeholders at the 2021 budget breakdown on Friday, Ahmed said the challenge Nigeria faces is not the debt burden but how to boost revenue generation to enable the Buhari administration concentrate on delivering on its massive infrastructure visions.
She charged Nigerians to rally behind the Federal Government to ramp up revenue generation.
She said the budget would facilitate government’s micro and macro economic initiatives even as government would continue to confront head-on the challenge of revenue generation which would underpin the achievement of government’s aims and objectives.
