Thousands of Catholics and other Christians today gathered at the grounds of the Notre Dame in France to offer a minute’s silence as France marked the third anniversary of the fire which destroyed the 13th Century Church in the heart of France.
The Notre Dame, one of the world’s oldest churches was completely burnt down in a fire on Aril 15, 2019, leaving the church in ashes.
France opened a massive rehabilitation fund almost immediately after, and contractors said it would take five years before the Notre-Dame is restored to its former glory.
Thousands of workers are said to be working round the clock on the church, and it is not yet clear whether the COVID-19 pandemic would have any impact on the deadline.
