Gov Ikpeazu resumes work tomorrow after recovering from COVID-19

SUNRISE NEWS, Abia, July 22, 2020 The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu is set to resume work Wednesday at the Government House in Umuahia, the state capital.

In a photograph sent to our reporter Tuesday evening, sources close to the Abia First Family told our reporter that the governor in the company of his wife; Deaconess Nkechi Ikpeazu, and few aides attended an evening church service at the Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA), Umuobikwa, Obingwa country home of the governor ahead of his resumption to duties on Wednesday.

Our reporter gathered that since the absence of the governor from the state, there has been several insinuations and speculations flying around in the state.

Source, who craved anonymity said that he is waiting to see how the governor would be reacting to some of the issues bordering on his health which took the center stage in the state in his absence.  Recall that governor Ikpeazu has been out of the state receiving medical attention after he handed over power officially to his deputy, Rt. Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu after testing positive for COVID-19.
