The Lagos State Catfish Marketers Association has thanked the Lagos State Government for giving Catfish marketers recognition and putting an end to their four 4 years misunderstanding.
The Iyaloja General for Lagos state Catfish Marketers Association, Alhaja Tawakalitu Animashaun expressed this recently at the first ever held meeting at Oke-odo Town Hall, Ilepo- Oja area of Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area, that it brought the Fish sellers joy to gain approval to start holding back their meeting and resolved grudges among them to ensure them united agreement to make their desired requests.
Tawakalitu Animashaun requested therefore in the name of Iyaloja General Chief Mrs Folashade Tinubu Ojo of all members of Catfish marketers in Lagos state to start attending the group monthly meeting from 19th of November 2018.
She said further that Chief Mrs Folashade Tinubu Ojo charged the group to reach out to about 56 Local government of Catfish sellers of Lagos State for them to have a common goal to move their Businesses and Lagos forward.
Out of 27 Local government Catfish marketers who attended the meeting expressed their joy over their Returns to share minds and businesses together and established good networking system.
The chairperson for Agbado Oke-Odo Catfish, Alimosho 2,Mrs Taiwo Adejare stated that this is a progress and a Dream come true holding the first kind of the meeting, after a year precisely since May 29th which they had been crowned Head of Local govt. Catfish sellers, that is
a welcome development.
She however urged the other marketers to note that this gathering has been taken back with love, as among other marketers who is not present today and does know the Rules and Regulations of the group should attend the upcoming meeting to avoid management from seizing their Goods.
The Babaloja for Alimosho LG, Mr Amoo Onifade Adeseun commended the Lagos State government for their contribution so much towards the Lagos marketing and urged her to reduce every expensive commodity that could make consumers scare away from buying their Fish products that with govt the marketers earn more Benefits, he said.
He thanked Chief Mrs Folashade Tinubu Ojo for considering the Catfish Association to this
stage.
