Hardship protest: Ogun Oba Ìsèse warns youths against taking part

The Oba Ìsèse Of Ogun State and Chairman, “Ìsèse Kingdom Of Truth Association Of Nigeria,” Oba Ifarotimi Adifagbola Balogun, has charged Nigerian youths especially in Ogun state to shelve any plan of embarking on another round of protests, saying such a move would be dangerous and counterproductive.

Oba Adifagbola Balogun stated this in his palace, Idi-Ori, Abeokuta North LGA, while addressing newsmen, he charged the youths with the responsible use of social media in shaping positive narratives about the state and the country at large.

Oba Adifagbola Balogun said no Nigerian youth, especially from the South-West part of the country, in his right senses will stage a protest that would disturb the hard-earned peace that people are enjoying in the country.

He said that Nigerians should wait and be patient with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration, saying that PBAT is doing his best to reposition the country economically.

Oba Adifagbola Balogun said the president has done very well in repositioning the security architectural of the country, noting that the country’s economy would soon be improved with the new minimum wages approved by the President.

According to him, another round of protests tagged; #BadGovernance, will worsen the already precarious security situation and economic hardship currently bedevilling the country, saying Nigerians should be patient, in order to reposition the country for a better.

Oba Adifagbola Balogun said the present administration of Prince Dapo Abiodun has taken bold steps in training youths on the responsible use of social media and providing tools for them to key into the digital economy, through TechHub at Kobape, Abeokuta.

He said Ogun State  is also working to engage more youths in its drive to provide digital skills to the people, noting that over 2000 teachers had been engaged in teaching for both primary and secondary schools across the state.

Oba Adifagbola Balogun called on traditional rulers, religious leaders, and parents to rise to the responsibility of rebuilding the eroding culture of discipline, decency, and righteousness in the youth for a better future.
