I’ll end out of school kids scourge – Saraki

Saraki

Former Senate President says he will end nation’s ills within four years if elected President next year

Former Senate President Dr Bukola Saraki on Thursday declared he is gunning for the nation’s top job to put an end to out-of-school children in the country.

Saraki, a Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential hopeful said this at a meeting with journalists and invited delegates of the PDP at the presidential declaration at Abuja.

He said: “I seek to be the president to ensure that never would any kid be denied the opportunity of education anywhere in the country.”

He spoke on the theme: Let’s fix this economy, which seems to be the fulcrum of his campaign manifesto.

He said he is in the race to give hope in a season of hopelessness and vowed to ensure the implementation of the national health insurance scheme which would make affordable healthcare available to all Nigerians regardless of social class and status.

Saraki, former Kwara State governor said he is in the race to prove that Nigerians can solve the challenges besetting it.

“I am not saying that we can solve all our challenges in a cycle, but we can be the generation of Nigerians to say that enough is enough. I want to lead the change that has badly eluded Nigerians. Let us rise up and say never again would we be made the laughing stock by the world,” Saraki said.
