Nigeria’s First Lady, Mrs Aisha Buhari returned from her sojourn in the United Kingdom, closing the chapter of wicked rumour mongers and speculations regarding her long absence from the country.

Rumour mongers had fingered her absence at state functions as being a result of fallout with her husband power base, while others said her absence is not unconnected with moves by Prsident Buhari to marry another woman as Aisha could no longer be trusted.

The peddlers of these rumours had said a marriage fathia had been slated for last Friday at the National Mosque in Abuja, a development which turned out to be a farce.

The First Lady, beaming with smiles, arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at 4.30am on a British Airways flight.

Aisha said she was happy to be home after a well-deserved rest.

Spokesman, Suleiman Haruna said she was away since August on a long holiday in the UK.

She said she was fully rejuvenated to continue the work of improving the health and well-being of women, children and other vulnerable Nigerians.
