Independent Day: NNPP candidates in Kosofe tasks constituent, pledges selfless representation

As Nigeria celebrates 62 years of independence, the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) candidates in Kosofe Federal Constituency and Kosofe constituency 2 have jointly called on electorates never to give in to deceptive mien of politicians whose stock in trade remains an insatiable interest of milking dry the Peoples patrimony.


The duo, Comrade Abdulwaheed Omotayo Odunuga (Kosofe Federal Constituency) and Comrade Babajide Badejoko Bakare (Kosofe 2 Constituency LAHA) stated unequivocally that Nigeria can only be great again when service to humanity tops the chart of public office holders.


In their Independence day message to their constituents the organic politicians stated what will be the it focus in governance once voted into office.

Comrade Odunuga whose antecedents of selfless service tops the chart within Kosofe environs notes that,“ the rescue mission of delivering our nation, and particularly Kosofe Constituency from cankerworm politicians have just commenced.


“The development of every nation is local, and must commence from the local government level. I am committed to using the instrumentality of the law at the legislative chamber and robust oversight function to bring a transparent and visible development to Kosofe.


“Once elected into the green chambers, my legislative focus will be geared towards engendering qualitative education for all, youths and women employment, and empowerment, Infrastructure and industrial development, health, sports and social services, and unfettered community development.


According to him the visible developmental strides in Nigeria remains the fruits of genuine politicians and past heroes, whose names in the annals of our national history were already etched in gold, he tasked upcoming political figures to take a cue from the founding fathers.

Also commenting on the Independence day Comrade Babajide Bakare, the Kosofe 2 Constituency candidate of the NNPP enjoins all youths and the younger generation across Nigeria to seize this moment of our national independence celebration to begin to take back their nation for good by getting actively involved in all facet of nation building.

“The current statistics of 70% of our nation are under age 30, and 42% under age 15, our nation is one that is well primed for a monumental growth and development,
“if the younger generation will arise and take their destiny into their own hands, and obey the clarion call to salvage the soul of this nation.”

He also used the opportunity of the independence dsy celebration to reaffirm his campaign commitment of working with the different stakeholders in the private and public space to ensure value creation and business sustainability for our SMEs in Kosofe 2 Constituency by facilitating access to trade-tied financial Platforms for our youths, artisans, market men and women.
