Super Eagles midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo, has pulled out of the team’s friendly matches against Algeria and Tunisia after sustaining an injury.
The Nigeria Football Federation announced Etebo’s withdrawal on their Twitter page Monday morning.
The Eagles are billed to play Algeria on Friday, before slugging it out with Tunisia four days later.
Both games are set to hold in Austria.
“@NGSuperEagles midfielder @etebo_karo is out of the friendly games against Algeria and Tunisia. He picked up a knock in his club’s game in Turkey yesterday. #SoarSuperEagles #Team9jaStrong,” the NFF tweeted on Monday (today).
Etebo becomes the third Eagles player to pull out of the friendlies after Wilfred Ndidi – who was also injured – and Victor Osimhen – who was excused from the team due to COVID-19 restrictions in Napoli.
