Insecurity: Lagosians need not be perturbed- Osiyemi

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s Special Adviser on Chieftaincy Matters Mr. Bayo Osiyemi has allayed fears of many concerning threats to security of Lagos state, declaring that criminally minded individuals will have themselves to blame given existing security networks within the state.

Osiyemi who made the assertion in recent chat with newsmen, cited the functional security apparatus in the state as a water-tight type that can’t be easily overpowered.

He added that the Lagos State Government is leaving no stone unturned to ensure nothing threatens the prevailing peace enjoyed thus far.

“Insecurity is a national malaise in present times but the proactive measures put in place by the state government has made Lagos the most secured state in Nigeria today.

“The Security network is so wide spread that any criminally minded person has to think twice before using Lagos State as a theatre of operation.”

Commenting on the level of preparedness ahead of the next campaigns for 2023 general elections, Osiyemi stated the importance of processing the Permanent Voters Card PVC.

Stressing that the PVC is the only valid tool required to exercise ones franchise.

He also charged all Lagos residents to come to terms with the importance of exercising their democratic rights.
