Interior Ministry airs new documentary on country’s longest border closure on TVC today

Determined to raise awareness of the activities of its services and agencies, among Nigerians, the Ministry of Interior is sponsoring documentaries on their giant strides on television and social media.

At 9 pm Tuesday, July 20,   the public is invited to watch the documentary on the country’s longest border closure on  TVC.

Produced to showcase the critical role of the Nigeria Immigration Service in the multi-agency operation, the documentary features stakeholders’ views on the success of the policy in promoting food security. and combatting smuggling.

The second documentary, NSCDC- Nigeria’s Man Friday- comes up on TVC, on  Tuesday, July 27, 2021.

It tells the story of the officers of the corps risking their lives to protect national assets, regular and timely response to emergencies.

The brainchild of the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola to mobilise public support for the services, the documentaries will be available for downloads afterwards on Youtube channel.

It also features the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr Shuaib Belgore, the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Mr Mohammed Babandede and the Commandant–General of the Nigeria Security & Civil Defence Corps, Dr Abdullahi Audi in their respective roles in implementing the policies of the Buhari led Administration.

The Ministry believes that a better-informed citizenry will appreciate the sacrifices of the officers and men of the agencies in rendering services to the public.
