The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in Lagos State on Tuesday congratulated Nigerian women on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
IPAC however condoled with the family of late Miss Oluwabamise Ayanwola, a 22-year-old lady, who got missing after boarding a Lagos Bus Rapid Transit vehicle and was reportedly found dead with some body parts missing.
IPAC Chairman, Olusegun Mobolaji, in a statement on Tuesday noted that it had become really challenging to grow, succeed and survive as a woman in this present age.
“So every virtuous woman and decent young ladies deserve to be celebrated on a day like this.
“Our heartfelt condolence also goes to the family of Oluwabamise Toyosi Ayanwola who was grusomely murdered some days ago after boading a BRT bus from Chevron area.
“We pray for God to give the family and loved ones the fortitude to bear the loss.
“We believe and look forward to the state government to bring all culpable person in the murder to book and we’ll deserved justice,” Mobolaji said.
The IPAC boss urged the state government to improve on security by adopting a more advance digital security system, installing more CCTV/Surveillance system in more strategic places all over the state.
He said that the state government should invest more on qualified security personels to reduce crime and make investigation much more easier and faster.
“May the protection of the most high God be upon us all, and we shall not become vulnerable to the satanic vultures of this world,” he prayed.
