The primaries to select the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag bearer in the forthcoming Edo State gubernatorial election went underway on Monday.
The primary election took place across all the 198 electoral wards in the state, under strict observance of all the safety protocols laid out by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
But it does appear that the preferred candidate Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu may be leading in the primaries as result in some wards in which elections are already completed as at press time indicated.
