Johnians launch 60th anniversary with logo contest

Old students of St John’s Grammar School, Ile-Ife, will on Sunday, launch a logo design competition to flag off events to mark the school’s 60th anniversary.
A statement by the chairman of the Anniversary Committee, Mr. Gbenga Adefaye and the publicity secretary of the association, Mr.Kehinde Bamigbetan said the event will be held virtually by Zoom at 6pm Nigerian time on Sunday 3rd October 2021.

Mr.Adefaye, a former president of the Nigerian Guild of Editors is the Chief Executive Officer, Vanguard Newspapers Limited.
Bamigbetan is the immediate past Lagos State Commissioner for Information & Strategy.
According to the statement, the association decided to throw the contest open to all, including artists and graphic designers to propagate the values of learning, service to humanity and leadership of the school.
There are cash prizes of N100,000, N75,000 and N50,000 for the winners of the contest which ends on October 30, this year.
The diamond anniversary programmes, which includes celebrations campaigns, lectures, motivational days and clean-up campaigns will be concluded with commissioning of projects in January 2022.
Established in 1962 by Rev. Father Fabian Cloutier, St John’s Grammar School has produced prominent Nigerians including vice chancellors, senators and professionals in various disciplines.
