Publisher and Chairman of the Champion Newspapers, serial entrepreneur and President General of the Igba Social cultural organisation Ohanaeze Ndigbo Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu is dead. He is aged 82.
Iwuanyanwu is said to have died this morning after a brief illness.
Until his death and in line with the responsibilities of his office as the leader of all the Igbo ethnic nationalities in Nigeria, Chief Iwuanyanwu, a colourful politician who was a prominent politician in the second and third republic had been leading agitation for Igbo causes including the call for the unconditional release of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Chief Nnamdi Kanu.
