Just in: Port Harcourt-bound Aero flight makes emergency landing after mid-air crisis

Nigeria was saved a probable air mishap, on Wednesday after a Port Harcourt-bound Aero Contractors passenger plane originating from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, developed fault mid-air earlier and was forced to return to base for an emergency landing

News Express, reports that the incident, which would have added to the tall list of air mishaps in Nigeria, happened in the early hours of Wednesday, April 5, 2023, quoting CKN News, another popular online paper, which narrated how a passenger on the flight, released the information.

The said passenger, was quoted of having informed of how the fear-stricken passengers, landed safely after the aircraft the aircraft, which was already on its way when the pilot noticed some faults and decided to return to base, urging Nigerians to thank God that nothing untoward happned.

The unnamed passenger was quoted as telling the portal: “Good morning, Kindly thank God for my colleague and I from delivering us from what would have been an air mishap on our way to Port-Harcourt. The Aero flight developed a fault in mid air and had to return to Abuja. we have landed safely to the glory of God.”
