By Olanrewaju Adesanya

SUNRISE NEWS, Lagos, July 29, 2020 A group of youths in Kosofe, (Active Kosofe Network),have stated their resolve in support of Hon. Samuel Olanrewaju Adebayo for the required replacement at Lagos State House of Assembly, citing his previous humanitarian efforts as legendary and a clear signal of his unalloyed love for the constituents prior to holding of any political office.

The organisation in a jointly signed statement by the AKN Coordinator Musili Isiaka and the Secretary Zainab Muh’d Awwal, prefers Adebayo, who they claimed would be a better substitute to the deceased  Hon.Tunde  Braimoh whose sudden demise created a vacuum to be filled by another respected leader of his calibre from Kosofe II constituency.

The youth network also gave a political trajectory of Adebayo, who came second after late Braimoh at the All Progressives Congress primaries held prior to the General Elections in 2019.

Citing some of the qualities of Adebayo, the youth network claimed his sociopolitical frame of mind reflects the concerns and interests of Kosofe Constituency II and Lagosians in general.

“The youth group believes he has the social pedigree to represent the concerns and interests of the Kosofe Constituency II and Lagosians.

“Having initiated and bankrolled empowerments and succour giving programmes on health and education in Kosofe local government area.

“He is also  the Co-founder and President of the Succour for Health and Education Foundation (SHEF), with which he has been able to provide free educational materials, Medical Insurance plans, many outreach and also Working tools for the empowerment of the indigents since 2017.

“He was also at the frontline of providing food reliefs and palliatives during COVID-19 pandemics.

According to them Hon. Samuel Adebayo has always been so close to the indigents in the constituency, who were going through one trying time or the other and during festive periods in much involved in putting smiles on their faces through distribution of various provisions and support.

He also took keen interest in ensuring that women and youths get the larger portion of his largesse.

“While honouring and appreciating the contributions of the late lawmaker, the Active Kosofe Network urge Hon. Samuel Olanrewaju Adebayo to mount the bidding horse to fly the flag of the progressive party, to represent the interests and concerns of Kosofe constituency II constituents at the state Assembly.”
