Released Kuriga schoolchildren have arrived at the Kaduna State Government House ahead of their meeting with the state governor, Uba Sani.
This was after the pupils were made to undergo thorough medical checks to ascertain their fitness.
During the meeting, the military is expected to hand over the pupils to the state government for onward reuniting with their parents.
Bandits had abducted 137 schoolchildren on March 7, 2024, from Kuriga in Chikun Local Government Area of the state.
In the wee hours of Sunday, the governor had announced the release of the abducted pupils.
Confirming the report, the Nigerian Military said the pupils were rescued from Zamfara State where their captors had taken them.
