…persuades Epe electorate
The Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Dr. AbdulAzeez Olajide Adediran aka Jandor has persuaded electorates to cast massive votes for Alhaji Atiku Abubarka in the presidential election slated for 25th of February 2023,citing the chain reaction that will herald in the state governorship election.
Jandor stressed that the presidential election is the first hurdle to cross and its result will have ripple effect on other cadre of elections next year.
“The most important vote is that of February 25, 2023. Don’t let them use ethnic sentiment, what did they do for us in 23 years. The first election is that of the President, which is for Atiku Abubakar. If the other person wins, they will disturb our own election. Once they lose, they will leave Lagos State for us.
“So, also that of Senate and Federal House of Representatives. Our own has been ordained by God from heaven. It will be on March 11, 2023.
“Thank you for being worthy partners to our vision. We are building this together so that we can achieve together and benefit together,” he said.
The Governorship Candidate also promised to care for the non-indigenes, who he said would not be treated like second class citizens.
Jandor also boast of his good knowledge of the nooks and crannies of the state unlike most of other contenders, whom he berated as lacking the grasp of the geographic spread of Lagos and thus could not offer a seamless government that sees to evolving even development across the state.
He told supporters and members of the PDP at the party’s secretariat in Agbowa-Ikosi, Ikosi Ejinrin LCDA, Epe on Sunday that he decided to tour the 245 wards in the state so that he could know the challenges in all the areas in the state.
According to Jandor the people will have a Governor that will take care of them from 2023.
“I want to thank the people of Ikosi Ejinrin LCDA. I thank you for being with us all the time. I don’t think a governorship candidate has ever come here to campaign for you.
“They don’t even know the Lagos State they want to rule over, which is why I decided to do the trip. I know all the roads leading to this place, so I will repair them as Governor.
“You cannot govern a state that you don’t know. It is not a day job or job for a lazy man. I challenge them to follow the same route. Our government would be for the masses. I have been to this place severally as a person. That is how I have toured the whole of Lagos State for seven years,’ he said.
Jandor told the supporters that members of the opposition party would soon come to them after four years.
He said; “they will come with money, when they come, I will fight you if you don’t collect the money. The money they are bringing belongs to us, it is our sweat. Collect the money from them, but vote your conscience.
While saying that he understands what they have been going through under the present government, he promised to imprison whoever tries to disturb them in the market.
He said: “I will not take your sources of livelihood. I will rather support you. It will be our government. There will be no need to send your children to private schools. I will fix the public schools and give uniforms to your children, and the uniforms would be sowed by local tailors.
“Road contractors must employ 30% of the youths in this area so that we can empower them, he said.
Jandor had earlier told some Islamic clerics in the town that Lagosians have suffered “enough from the slavery system run in Lagos.”
He said that he had come to change the narrative and liberate Lagosians.
“I am assuring you that our government will be run with the fear of God because I am not a product of godfatherism. I will run people-oriented government and provide quality education for our children,” he said.
In his reaction, the Grand Chief Imam of Agbowa-Ikosi, Alhaji AbdulRoheem Olatunji urged voters to collect their PVCs to vote their choices in 2023.
Olatunji stated that they were satisfied with what Jandor told them, adding that they were sure that he would fulfill his promises to the masses.
