The Speaker Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon. Mudashiru Obasa has declared that the state will churn out highest number of registered members of the All Progressives Congress party at the end of the registration/revalidation exercise.
Obasa made the assertion having concluded the registration process officiated by the team of party officials at
QWard E (005),Agege Local Government Area in Lagos.
He revalidated his membership of the All Progressive Congress (APC), assuring that the state would mobilize the highest number of members for the party.
The speaker said the process had been perfect even though the exercise had just begun officially today.
“If you talk about the exercise, it has been good and perfect and the major exercise has just started today.
“However, we await report from the field so we can know how dedicated and loyal our members are toward the exercise.
“We have faith on our members and I believe they will comply with the party structure,” he said.
Obasa noted that the whole exercise was like carrying out a population census because at the end of the day, it would be able to tell them the strength in each states, local government and wards across the country.
He said by extension, the party would be able to tell the number of the members in each state, which would reposition them in the forthcoming election.
This is to tell us our strength in each state,local government,ward and by extension the whole nation.
We will be able to say this is the number of our members in each state and that will position us for the forth coming election, that we have been able to know what we stand to achieve in the coming election.”
Adding that though this was for the party members, however the strength of every party depends on structure of the party on ground and how they had been able to cover the geopolitical landscape
On the possibility of Lagos registering the largest number of members, Obasa affirms the possibility with much efforts in support of the party.
Definitely Lagos will come out with the highest number of members, I have no doubts in my mind we have the population, all we need do is to intensify our effort and ensure that we bring out our people to support the party and let this happen.
