Lagos Assembly swears in Saheed as new lawmaker for Kosofe

The newly elected member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Kosefe Constituency 11,  Mr Femi Saheed, yesterday was swore in as member of the Lagos State of Assembly.

The event took place at the Lagos State House of Assembly Chamber on Tuesday at 2.11pm.

Mr Femi Saheed won the election to the Lagos House of Assembly representing Kosofe Constituency II 5th of December.

He took the oath of Allegiance and Oath of Membership of new member as coordinated by the Legal department of the house in front of the Speaker House of Assembly, Hon Modashiru Obasa.

Also presence at the chamber, the Lagos State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress Babatunde Balogun, the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Abiru, Member House of Representatives for Kosofe Federal Constituency Rotimi Agunsoye, and Adeyemi Adedolapo, among others.

The Speaker House of Assembly, Hon Obasa congratulated the new member, admonishing him to sustain the achievement of the house.

He said that Hon Saheed is a party man. We believe that his contribution will be of immense benefit to the business of law making in the state. 

He said “l believe this opportunity offers a lot of learning for Hon Saheed and my office and that of Clerk is always open for any clarification on any matter”.

Senator Abiru said Hon Saheed is a man with a strong respect for the party. I believe very strongly that he will make remarkable contribution in the house.

 He added that he is a quick learner and I believe that he will learn a lot as he a lot to offer the state.

On his part, the APC Chairman, Lagos State, Balogun said that the party repose a lot of confidence in him and we believe that he will work with his colleagues and the state government to bring the desire development to Kosefe Constituency.

“We also believe that he will complement our effort at the National Assembly and take Nigeria to the next level”, he said.

In his response, Hon Saheed who described the inauguration as wonderful experience, said that l will do my best to represent my people according to their needs and aspirations.
