Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu said 21 more patients were discharged from the various isolation centres in the state and have reunited with their families and the larger society.
The demographics of the patients are four females and 17 males. They are all Nigerians.
The Lagos State Incident Commander said three of the patients were discharged from Onikan, one from Eti-Osa (Landmark), One from Cardiology Hospital (an accredited private isolation facility) and six from Lekki, while 10 patients were discharged from the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Isolation Centre.
Sanwo-Olu said all the patients were discharged having fully recovered and tested negative to COVID-19 in two consecutive test readings.
“With this, the total number of cases successfully managed and discharged from the state’s isolation facilities has risen to 469.
He asked members of the public to continue to practice hand hygiene, join the Mask up Lagos campaign by using facemask when outdoor and not to forget to observe strictly social distancing.
He said if all the safety protocols are strictly adhered to, the state could break the chain of transmission and ensure a disease free Lagos.
