SUNRISE NEWS, Lagos, August 2, 2020 Lagos State government continued to take the lead in the number of cases of COVID-19 discharged from its isolation centres, when it sets free another 37 patients who tested negative after a fresh round of tests.
The Incident Commander and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu who announced this on Sunday said 15 of the patients were females while 22 are males. Among the discharged persons, he further disclosed are six foreigners.
He said eight of the patients were discharged from Agidingbi, seven from Onikan, seven from Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba; one from Gbagada, two from First Cardiology and 12 from LUTH Isolation Centres, discharged after full recovery.
Sanwo-Olu urged Lagosians to continue to maintain social distancing, practice hand hygiene, and always mask up especially when they are in the public.
He urged everyone to take responsibility for their continued existence serious and help the government in controlling community transmission of the pandemic.
