Lagos discharges 45 COVID-19 patients to bring total to 1740

Forty-five new patients were today discharged from the various isolation and treatment centres by the Lagos State government.

The Incident Commander and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu who made this known on Sunday evening said the patients who have been released to reunite with the society are made up of 18 females and 27 makes, including four foreign nationals.

The patients; 19 from Eti-Osa (LandMark) 11 from Onikan and 15 from LUTH Isolation Centres were discharged after full recovery and testing negative to COVID19.

According to the governor, “this brings to 1740, the number of #COVID19 confirmed cases that have been successfully managed and discharged from our isolation facilities.”

Sanwo-Olu who urged Lagosians to continue to adhere strictly to all public advisories given by the government reminded that it is now a criminal offence to go out without using a facemask in the state,

“Remember, it is now a criminal offence in Lagos State to go out without using a facemask. Let’s continue to adhere strictly to all public advisories given by government #ForACOVID19FreeLagos,” Sanwo-Olu stated.
