The General Hospital, Ijede, has discharged the five-year-old boy, Michael Ayodele, who was severely abused by his guardian, confirming and certifying him medically fit and sound to leave the hospital.
The Deputy Medical Director, Ijede GH, Dr. Olumuyiwa Balogun-Oluwa, who disclosed this on Tuesday at the facility, said Michael was given free medicare all through his stay at the facility, adding that it was good to know he recuperated and responded fast to treatment.
According to Dr. Balogun-Oluwa, all necessary medical efforts were made to ensure that he was given a clean bill of health before his approval for discharge.
He said: “Because of the love, attention and adequate treatment given to Michael, not only from our experienced, medical staff but also from other members of staff and visitors, he responded fast to treatment. This made him cheerful and felt at home here”.
Recall that Michael Ayodele was brought to the hospital with a deep cut on his head and several injuries inflicted on his body on the 14th of July 2021 after being subjected to ill-treatment by his guardian and aunty, Oluwaseyi Mary Odeyemi, for over six months.
