Lagos took the lead again for the second time in a row on Tuesday, with 88 new cases, as Nigeria confirms new 576 COVID-19 cases taking the nation’s viral load of the pandemic to an all time high 37,801 cases.
Highlights of the touring disease posted on the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control website about 2 am on Tuesday said a total of 218, 223 samples have so far been tested nationwide, while 15,677 cases have been discharged. With four new death cases recorded on Tuesday, a total of 805 deaths have been recorded in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The NCDC said the 576 cases were posted by 22 states with Kwara coming second with 87 cases, and FCT comes third with 82.
