The Lagos People’s Democratic Party PDP congress slated to hold on 23rd of February has been postponed to 27th of February, due to logistics considerations for the National Working Committee in charge of the process.
This information was contained in a communique, issued after the Lagos State PDP stakeholders parley geared towards the conduct of an acceptable congress, held Sunday at Beni Gold Hotels Parkview Estate Ikoyi, Lagos.
The stakeholders also flayed rumours making the rounds that a state exco list has been drawn already.
“ After over five hours of deliberation, we discovered that no list of state exco was compiled as rumoured.
The state congress earlier slated for 23rd of February, is now to hold on the 27th of February.
The said meeting which registered 44 members attendance, includes leaders across the three senatorial zones of Lagos State and was moderated by the caretaker committee members led by the Chairman Engineer Julius Akinsola.
In the well itemized resolution, the concurrence of topmost leaders like Chief Bode George, Dr. Dapo Sarumi, Mrs. Maina and three others as well as that of former party chairmen, former governorship candidates like Dr. Ade Dosumu, Mr. Agbaje, former and sitting House of Reps members,the national officers and caretaker observers were expected to have been sought for go ahead.
