Lagos YPP Chair, Mobolaji, emerges IPAC new boss

The Lagos State chapter of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has elected Mr Olusegun Mobolaji, the former state Chairman of Young Progressive Party (YPP) as its new chairman.

The Chairman of the Election Committee Chairman, Mr Wale Egbeola, told newsmen on Tuesday that Mobolaji polled nine votes to defeat the incumbent Chairman, Mr James Adeshina of African Action Congress (AAC), who polled five votes.

According to him, other contestants for the chairmanship seat were Mr Adekunle Adenipebi of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) who polled one vote and Prof. Ifagbemi Awamaridi of Labour Party (LP) who later pulled out of the race.

Egbeola said that the election also produced Alhaji Razak Oyekanmi of Action Peoples Party (APP) as Deputy Chairman, Mr Wasiu Banjo of All Progressives Congress (APC) as Secretary and Mrs Temilola Akinade of National Rescue Movement (NRM) as the Deputy Secretary.

He said that Mr Richard Echigbue of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) emerged as the Publicity Secretary, Mrs Adeyemo Bunmi of Allied Peoples Movement (APM) as the Organising Secretary while Alhaji Mustafa Moshood of Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) was elected as the Financial Secretary.

According to him, Mr Beckley Joseph of Accord was elected as the Treasurer while Mr Adewale Nasir of Action Democratic Party (ADP) emerged as Legal Adviser.

According to him, the executives were officially sworn in by the committee after the poll.

Egbeola advised the new executives to do the right thing at all time, and never use IPAC for personal gain or financial negotiations.and transactions.

In his response, Mobolaji, who is currently the Publicity Secretary of YPP, promised to lead IPAC in all Humility, honesty, transparency, accountability and integrity.

“IPAC will surely be seen and known for what it really stands for,” the new IPAC chairman said.
