The Lagos State Government has said traffic would be diverted on some sections of the Third Mainland Bridge between 9:00am to 4:00pm on Sunday, April 2, 2023.
The Commissioner for Transportation Dr. Frederic Oladeinde, who disclosed this in a statement issued yesterday, said the diversion is to enable the Lagos State Public Works Corporation (LSPWC) to embark on the repair of all identified failed/peeled asphaltic sections of the Bridge.
Oladeinde said traffic will be diverted to another lane at all the identified failed asphaltic sections on the Bridge.
He stressed that this is expedient to solve tailbacks along the bridge at the peak period.
Oladeinde assured that the State’s Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA would be on ground to direct traffic to ameliorate all inconveniences.
