LASG,Obasa, Prince Lanre Sanusi mourns Adenrele Adeniran-Ogunsanya’s demise extols Ex-SSG excellent virtues

The Lagos State Governor Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Speaker of the state Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa and other well meaning Lagosians have described late Princess Adenrele Adeniran-Ogunsanya as a team player in the development of Lagos, whose loss is quite huge for the state.

Sanwo-Olu in his condolence message to the family of deceased Ex- SSG, notes that the daughter of prominent Ikorodu born politician and associate of the late Nnamdi Azikiwe, Prince Adeniran Ogunsanya, died after a brief illness on Tuesday at 74.

Princess Adenrele Adeniran-Ogunsanya was Secretary to the Lagos State Government (SSG) during the first term in office of former Governor Babatunde Fashola (SAN) between 2007 and 2011.

In the message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, on Tuesday she was said to have made immense contributions to governance, growth and development of Lagos State during her tenure as the scribe of the State.

The Governor who commended the late politician and businesswoman for her impactful roles in Lagos politics, especially in Ikorodu division, commiserated with leaders and the entire people of Ikorodu on the demise of their illustrious daughter.

“On behalf of the Government and people of Lagos State, I want to express my sincere and heartfelt sympathy to the family, friends and political associates of the late Secretary to the Lagos State Government (SSG), Princess Adenrele Adeniran-Ogunsanya.

“The death of Princess Adenrele Adeniran-Ogunsanya is a big loss to Lagos State. She made a lot of positive impact and contributions during her lifetime to the growth and development of Lagos State as SSG. She also made significant impact in Lagos politics when as member of the ruling party, especially in Ikorodu.

“I pray that God will grant Princess Adenrele Adeniran-Ogunsanya eternal rest and give the immediate family, friends, political associates and the people of Ikorodu the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” Governor Sanwo-Olu prayed.

The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa in his condolence message, notes that the death of former Secretary to the Lagos State Government, Princess Adenrele Adeniran-Ogunsanya, is a major loss to the state.

Obasa in a statement made available to newsmen by Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Eromosele Ebhomele commiserated with the family and friends of the deceased saying her contributions as SSG to the progress of Lagos would remain indelible in the hearts of the residents of the State.

“She was always calm, filled with brilliant ideas and contributed immensely to the development of Lagos while she served as Secretary to the Lagos State Government,” Obasa said.

The Speaker added that the late Adeniran-Ogunsanya also played important roles in the politics of the State earning herself respect as a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“On behalf of my colleagues at the Lagos State House of Assembly, I commiserate with the family, friends, leaders of our party and everyone affected by the demise of Princess Adenrele Adeniran-Ogunsanya.

I pray that God would grant her peace and give those she left behind the fortitude to bear this loss.” Said Obasa.

Also Prince Lanre Sanusi (PLS), a prominent All Progressives Congress aspirant for the Federal House of Representatives, Amuwo-Odofin Federal constituency, shocked by the news of her demise, notes that she is a leading light whose departure leaves a wide gap in the political circle and Rademo ruling house in Ikorodu .
“We receive with great shock the news of the demise of Princess Adenrele Adeniran-Ogunsanya.

“She was a mother and a role model who fought for the downtrodden in the society, A compassionate woman, A woman of impeccable character and a Reformist.
“She is a great Lagosians who has paid her dues serving the state to the best of her capacity, we are close relatives from my paternal side, the Rademo ruling house to be precise, she would be sorely missed.

“On behalf of myself and the great people of Amuwo Odofin federal constituency, we extend our condolences to the bereaved family and pray to God to grant them the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.

May her gentle soul rest in peace Amen.”
