The lawmaker representing Alimosho Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Bisi Yusuff on Sunday September 26, 2021 doled out N20,000 each to 100 indigent residents of the constituency to celebrate his birthday.
Yusuff, who said that the donation was a departure from his annual healthcare programmes, said that this was due to COVID-19 that is presently ravaging the entire universe.

Speaking with journalists at Private Ice Hotel, Ipaja, where the event took place, the lawmaker stated that the gesture was his own way of giving back to the people who he said have him the mandate to be a lawmaker.
Yusuff, who is the Chairman of the House Committee on Commerce and Industry, revealed that he had also offered to foot the medical operation bill of a young boy, who he said was abandoned by the father.
“I normally celebrate my birthday with an healthcare programme annually, but I decided not to do that this year due to COVID-19.

“You can see a young boy, who was abandoned by his father for the mother over a curable ailment. I have decided to pick up the bill, they will do the operation and it would be successful.
“I have decided to share part of what God has given me with young/old men and women. You can see from their looks and the way they are happy,” he said.
The lawmaker explained that it was important for people to give proper representative to their constituents, saying that they are the owners of the mandate he is using.
A beneficiary of the empowerment, Mr. Samuel Shobowale aka Baba Show urged Yusuff to continue his good his works, adding that everyone knew the activities of the lawmaker in the constituency. This was corroborated by another beneficiary, who did not give her name, but said that Yusuff has been a blessing to the Constituency since he went into the assembly few year back.
