Lekki Toll Gate has been set ablaze by unknown arsonists

The second Second Lekki Toll Gate has been set ablaze by irate mob on Tuesday.

SUNRISE News gathered that the act may not have been unconnected with the shooting of peaceful protesters by soldiers.

It was not clear on whose orders the soldiers had marched on the Toll Gate to enforce compliance with the Lagos State Governor’s curfew order.

Though no fewer than 15 people are said to have been killed in the shootout, Sunrise News could however not confirm the casualty as at the time of publishing this story.

Many of those who sustained gunshot wounds were seen seen receiving emergency medical treatment with bullets removed from some victims.

Reports claimed 11 victims are currently receiving treatment in some hospitals on the Island.

There were also news reports that Zenith Bank Plc, GTBank Plc, and Access Bank Plc all on Admiralty Road were set ablaze, and Hubmart Superstores was attacked and looted by irate mob
