The people of Amuwo Odofin constituency 1 have echoed their resolve that Hon. Dipo Olorunrinu (TalkNDo) be their next council chairman in Amuwo Odofin Local Government whenever the election holds.
Teaming number of residents who are members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) present at a forum organised to officially inaugurate BAT 23 The Obasa Movement Amuwo Odofin chapter in Festac Town, made this humble request to the party handlers, citing the former lawmakers passion for people’s welfare in the locality.
Dipo who is the convener of the movement in Amuwo Odofin, notes that the good works done by the two personae around whom the movement revolves is clearly a pointer to the need for them to take up greater roles in Nigeria’s political space.
A former lawmaker Hon. Sultan Adele also present, showered encomiums on the leaders for whom the people were gathered in solidarity, adding the time is right to put the round peg in the round hole.
One of the residents Mr Chukwudi Abanaya noted that Hon. Dipo Olorunrinu is benevolent and blessed with human-centric leadership styles,adding that they are battle ready to use their votes to bring him in as the council chief in Amuwo Odofin LGA if the party could favour him as their candidate.
They unanimously appealed to the States delegation to inform Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of their choice for the next Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin Local Government Council.
The team leader of the Lagos State Legislative Forum, R.A.B Fashina and the Leader of the Executives of BAT Foundation Hon. Ahmed Omisoore, flanked by Hon.Jude Idimogu who represented the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa at the forum, all harped on the need for the National Leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to indicate poise to vie for the Presidental seat come 2023.
In Omisoore’s comment, he stressed the meticulous and forthright attributes of Tinubu noting that he is the right man for the job.
“Bola Ahmed is determined to become the President of Nigeria and he wants to change a lot of things,he wants to ensure that our women folds do not suffer any longer,he wants to ensure that our artisans get reward for their labour.
He has been doing it before he does not care where you come from he makes you kings,he will not forget anybody.
“Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu changed the narratives of democracy positively during his reign as the Governor of Lagos.
“He was the progenitor of efficient collection of Internally Generated Revenues and built institutions for effective governance in Nigeria.
“Most of his successes have been domesticated by governments of most states including the federal government. ” He reiterated.
“I am also glad that Dipo, it seems all of you want him to be Chairman, can you identify by standing up?” .
National Daily also observed that representatives of major ethnic nationalities that peopled Amuwo Odofin area a microcosm of Nigeria; Yoruba, Igbo, Arewa, Ijaw, Itsekiri, Tiv, Igala, etc. All endorsed Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be the next President of Nigeria.
The massive crowd at the epoch making event also clamoured for the incumbent Speaker Rt. Hon. Obasa to vie for the Lagos West Senatorial District in 2023.
According to them his exemplary successes as the Speaker, who has been speaking audaciously on behalf of forty constituencies in Lagos State informs their decision.
“He has presided over the enactment of laws that has placed Lagos State on an enviable heights in Nigeria.
“He has also shown through his dexterous and human-centric leadership qualities that the Legislative and Executives can work effectively in the interest of the people.”
