Liverpool Owners Are Calm – Klopp Takes Dig At Chelsea’s Boehly Over Tuchel’s Sack

Klopp

Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp, has aimed a sly dig at Chelsea owners under the leadership of Todd Boehly for sacking Thomas Tuchel so quickly on Wednesday.

Klopp said this while insisting that he is not worried about his future at Anfield after last night’s Champions League 4-1 loss against Napoli.

Earlier on Wednesday, Klopp’s compatriot and friend Tuchel lost his job at Chelsea after presiding over an underwhelming start to the season, although he actually picked up a point more than Liverpool in the Premier League.

There are some equivalents between the two coaches and teams in the early stages of the season so far, with both Liverpool and Chelsea performing well below their usual level and losing their opening Champions League games against Napoli and Dinamo Zagreb, respectively.

But Klopp believes that is where the similarities end and feels Liverpool’s chiefs are more measured than Chelsea’s and will continue to support him despite the latest defeat to Napoli.

Asked if he fears for his own job following compatriot Tuchel’s sack, Klopp responded at his post-match press conference after Liverpool’s defeat to Napoli: “Not really, but who knows?

“The difference is, obviously, there are different kinds of owners. Our owners are rather calm and expect from me to sort the situation and not think that somebody else should sort it.
