LP fingers APC Chieftain Obanikoro for attacks on hapless members

Sen. Musiliu Obanikoro

The Omogeye Campaign Organization of the Labour Party Reps candidate Otunba George Adegeye in Amuwo-Odofin Federal Constituency has called on the concerned authorities to call Senator Musiliu Obanikoro a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress to order.

The body claimed Obanikoro has mandated some louts to cause mayhem in Amuwo-Odofin by launching attacks on Labour Party faithful in attempt to forcefully truncate the will of eligible voters of the constituency, who voted en masse for Adegeye.

In a statement signed by the organisation’s Deputy Director of Media and Strategic Communication Bureau Mr. Ganiyu Ajiroba, Obanikoro was said to have chosen to tread this ignoble path not befitting of a personality with his kind of clout seeing that the Reps LP candidate is already coasting home to victory in 9 out of 11 wards in Amuwo-Odofin

.
“We had earlier raised alarm about the nefarious activities of APC thugs since it became very clear that Labour Party Presidential and House of Representatives candidates are leading with very wide margins in Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency.

“The APC in Amuwo Odofin superintended by Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, a prominent GAC member is the mastermind behind the attack since the victory of Hon George Olawande Adegeye, Labour Party Reps Candidate in Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency became imminent.
“All the attempts by the APC to change and subvert original results has finally failed. It is a fact from available results that Hon George Olawande Adegeye has won Nine wards out of the Eleven Wards in Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency.

Tony and Ikomodina, louts allegedly backed by Senator Obanikoro

“The results is the pain in the neck of Senator Musiliu Obanikoro since the early hours of this morning. He has emboldened Tony and Ikomodina to lead thugs and start attacking Labour Party Agents at the INEC office in Amuwo Odofin this morning even in the presence of large Police officers.

“Six of our party agents sustained various degrees of injuries as a result of gunshots are presently getting care in an undisclosed hospital.

“It is sad that the police officers could not protect Labour Party faithful who are at the INEC office to protect their hard earned victory.
“Some INEC officers are colluding with the APC to change results in their favour. This plot will never work in their favour because our people will protect their votes even with their lives if the need arises.

“We also got a tip off that the APC thugs are planning to burn the INEC office in the event that all their plans to change results fails.

“We want the public to hold Senator Musiliu Obanikoro responsible for all the havoc caused by Tony and Ikomodina with their led thugs. It is sad such a personality will descend so low in truncating the basic ideals of democracy.” The statement reads.
